TRAVIS SPEICE NAMED COLOR GUARD CAPTION HEAD FOR  NATIONALLY-PROMINENT DRUM & BUGLE CORP, THE CAVALIERS!

Travis Speice steps into the position of color guard caption head in 2013 for his fourth year instructing with The Cavaliers. "I'm honored to follow in the footsteps of the great leaders and educators who have influenced this organization," said Speice. "My goal is to advance our standards of education, performance and technical quality, while staying true to our identity and history."

Speice resides in Cincinnati, OH and is very involved in color guard activity. He teaches the Pride of Cincinnati, is a member of the advisory board for the TriState color guard circuit, and directs the color guard program at Campbell County High School (KY). In the past, Speice says he has been fortunate to have worked with other groups in various roles including Zydeco color guard and other high schools in Indiana, Ohio, and New York. Speice is a proud alum of the organizations he has performed with, including the Pride of Cincinnati, Aimachi, Empire, Patriots, and Boston Crusaders.

Travis is a sociology Ph.D. candidate, and received his master’s degree in sociology from the University of Cincinnati in 2009. He earned bachelor’s degrees in sociology and psychology from SUNY Brockport and currently teaches social psychology and other sociology courses at The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Passionate about teaching, Travis is excited to begin working on the 2013 season with the Cavaliers!
